Coquitlam products Lemar Durant scored two touchdowns and Bobby Pospischil added another on a thrilling 84-yard punt return as the Simon Fraser Clan waxed the Pacific University Boxers in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference (NCAA Div. 2) football contest Thursday in Forest Grove, Ore.

The two Centennial secondary school grads were instrumental in the Clan's lopsided season-opening triumph.

A transfer this season from the University at Nevada-Las Vegas, Durant caught five passes for 28 yards, including scoring tosses of two and seven yards from quarterback Trey Wheeler. Pospischil added three catches for 37 yards, a picked up another 28 yards on his one rushing play.

The Clan built a 31-7 halftime lead try to silence a Boxers' boisterous crowd of 1,925 supporters.

"It was an interesting opener in a pretty hostile environment," said Clan head coach Dave Johnson. "School just started here and the student section was paced. It's a tough place to play."
