Coquitlam curler Kyle Habkirk will join the Abbotsford Curling Club at the B.C. Junior Curling Championship later this month.
The event will take place in Parksville and will feature eight men's and women's junior teams that have curled their way through the qualification process.
Habkirk will be the third on the team, which is skipped by Cody Tanaka, with Travis Cameron (second) and Donny Mackintosh (lead).
Team Tanaka is returning to the championship after defeating Team Horvath in the play downs, last year's gold medalists at the provincial event.
The B.C. Championship will take place in Parksville between Dec. 28 and Jan. 3. Results will be posted at www.playdowns.com under the B.C. tab.
