Coquitlam Express coach Barry Wolff will conduct bench-boss duties when Canada West takes the ice at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Alta., this winter.

This will be the 50-year-old's third time at the tournament, but his first as head coach, after he assisted in 2010 and 2015.

"It is a great honour to be selected as head coach of Team Canada West and I look forward to working with the elite level players and a great staff," he said in a press release this week. "I am excited for this opportunity to represent Canada again at the World Junior A Challenge."

Wolff has been the head coach of the Coquitlam Express for the last three seasons and led the team to the BCHL championship in 2014. He also won a championship in 2005 with the Surrey Eagles and was guest coach evaluator for Canada West in preparation for the 2014 World Junior A Challenge.

Wolff will not be alone behind the bench.
