When the Coquitlam Jr. 'A' Adanacs begin their campaign to the Minto Cup next season they will have a new leader at the helm.
The club announced on Monday that Neil Doddridge will take over as head coach when the 2013 season begins, the first hiring by new general manager Tosh Nishimura.
"We are very excited about coach Doddridge joining the junior Adanacs club," he said in a press release. "His resume speaks for itself and we look forward to getting back to work preparing for the upcoming draft and season."
As a player Doddridge, who hails from Clarkson, Ontario, won a Founders Cup championship with the Mississauga Tomahawks, two silver medals with Team Canada and seven Mann Cup Championships with Brampton, Six Nations and Victoria.
After he retired from playing, Doddridge was worked as director of scouting for the National Lacrosse League's Minnesota Swarm between 2006 and 2011. He has also worked in the Western Lacrosse Association with the senior A's.
The team has also hired Kevin Hill, who will join the club as a goalie coach and director of scouting.
