Coquitlam Minor Hockey products Kai McDonald, Victor Dombrovskiy and Nicholas Rasovic have been selected to play in the Under-17 BC Cup next week in Salmon Arm.
The goalie McDonald played last season with the Coquitlam Midget A2 rep squad, while the defenceman Dombrovskiy and forward Rasovic of Anmore were members of the Vancouver North East Chiefs of the Major Midget League. McDonald was also affiliated with the Chiefs.
A total of 12 goalies, 36 defencemen and 72 forwards from around the province were chosen by invitation only to play in the U-17 BC Cup, which runs May 9-13.
McDonald is pencilled to play on Team Wild in the six-team tourney, while Dombrovskiy and Rasovic are slated to play on Team Stars and Team Sabres respectively.
