The Coquitlam-Port Moody Kodiaks skated to a 6-4 victory over their crosstown rivals the Poco-Ridge Meadows Blizzard in under-12 ringette last Saturday.
The team was led by Ximena Turmel's hat trick, while Emily Church added 2 goals and an assist and Kira Cooper scored one goal and four assists in the match.
Goaltender Veronika Procyk made a number of key saves in the second half to help secure the win.
Meanwhile, the Coquitlam-Port Moody Thunder Bolts downed Port Coquitlam in under-9 ringette action Sunday night.
The first period was evenly matched, with both teams making nice plays and Raphy Mcintee scoring three for the Bolts. Chloe Holdenried then lead the charge in the second period, scoring a hat trick to take the lead, while Ryhan Homes, Chantelle Easter and Madison Doucette added singles to secure a 9-5 victory for Coquitlam.
Mira Cox and Rhea Sunderji shined on defence.
