The Coquitlam Raiders bounced back from an 0-2 start to the Vancouver Mainland Football League season with a 12-8 win over the Cloverdale Cougars.
Leading the way on defence wasMichael Evans, Cole Kashino and Andrew Lloydwith some huge third down stops to give the offence a chance to stay in the game.
Coquitlam's Jarrett Chong opened the scoring in the third quarter with a clear run down the field, but the Cougars took an 8-6 lead a few minutes later.
However, the Raiders were able to march the ball down the field with a 30-yard run by Jaden Severy who then carried the ball two more times to punch it in from the six-yard line.
Neither team was able to score in the final frame after some solid back-and-forth play and the game ended 12-8 for the Coquitlam squad.
