The Coquitlam Metro Ford TNT battled both injuries and a tough North Shore Fury squad to a 0-0 draw on Sunday in under-16 girls gold division soccer.

Despite a short bench, the TNT held its own for the full game and was unlucky to not convert on several promising breakaway attempts that just missed the mark.

Isabel Antunes, Nicole Churisnoff, Tessa Weimer and Rizako Kazemi had a strong game on the defensive side of the ball.

Meanwhile, keeper Alivia Ungaro came up strong in the match, making a crucial save late in the second half when the Fury managed to sneak past the TNT's defensive players.

Hayley Morrin and Kaihsa Markiewicz did a good job with the transitions at the midfield, feeding strikers Juliana Bosa and Jade Ryshak.

Emergency called up Ariana Ansari was also strong for the TNT.
