Coquitlam Curling Centre has been named as the host site for the 2014 B.C. Wheelchair Curling Championship.
The event will take place from Jan. 24-26, 2014 at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex, which was completed in 2010 and hosted the 2013 Tim Hortons BC Junior Curling Championships.
"The event is a good fit for us and our facility because we want to keep hosting events and our facility is brand-spanking new," said Coquitlam Curling Association vice-president Barry Ayers.
"We're looking forward to it. After we finished hosting the Juniors, we said 'What's next? Let's do another event.'"
The winner of the 2014 B.C. Wheelchair Curling Championship will travel to Montreal, Que., in April 2014 for the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship.
