The Gleneagle Talons are gaining momentum at just the right time in AAAA boys high school basketball season.

The club, which finished behind the Terry Fox Ravens in the Fraser Valley North division regular season standings, has won both of their Fraser Valley playoff games and are one of the last Tri-City teams still standing in the competition.

With the wins, the club has secured a berth in the B.C. Provincial championships, but will face Delta secondary on Friday night.

Delta defeated the Centennial Centaurs 61-45 during a must-win game for the Coquitlam club on Wednesday night.

The south of the Fraser team has been playing well heading into Friday's matchup against Gleneagle. The team was ranked third in the Fraser Valley South Division during the regular season, behind Tamanawis and Semiahmoo.

Port Moody secondary was able to manage a 67-50 win over Fraser Heights on Wednesday, while the Heritage Woods Kodiaks defeated Kwantlen Park secondary 86-55.

The Kodiaks, who were in the middle of the Fraser Valley North Division pack during the regular season, will now play Sardis secondary Friday night. Port Moody will take on Walnut Grove while Terry Fox is expected to play Yale secondary.
