The Port Moody Black Panthers blew a two goal lead on their way to a 4-3 loss to the North Delta Devils at the Sungod Arena on Saturday.

The Port Moody Black Panthers blew a two goal lead on their way to a 4-3 loss to the North Delta Devils at the Sungod Arena on Saturday.

The Cats' flew out of the gates with goals from Max Fiedler and Jackson Surbey in the opening frame before running into penalty trouble in the second period.

Arvin Atwal opened the scoring for Delta and Benjamin Vikich evened the score on a pair of power play goals that took the momentum away from the visiting Cats.

North Delta piled on two more goals in the third and a second marker from Port Moody's Fiedler was not enough to spark the struggling offence.

Cats' goalie Angus Redmond was shelled in the outing, stopping 50 of 54 shots, while Port Moody managed out 20 shots of their own.

The team will play Friday on the road against the Ridge Meadows Flames before returning home on Saturday to take on the Delta Ice Hawks at the Port Moody Recreation Complex. Puck drop is at 7:45 p.m.
