The Coquitlam Express will be happy to get back to their home rink after losing a pair of road games last weekend.
The losses extended the club's losing streak to three games and the team is currently struggling to make its way up the BCHL standings, 10 points behind Mainland Division third-place club the Prince George Spruce Kings.
Coquitlam fell behind early last Friday, spotting the Chilliwack Chiefs a two goal lead after the first 20 minutes of play.
However, the team bounced back in the second, tying the game with markers from Brendan Lamont and Owen Stout.
But the tide began to turn for the Express when Chilliwack's Brandon Potomak scored on a penalty shot five minutes into the third.
That sparked the Chiefs offence, which saw two more goals before the game was done- an even-strength marker from Evan Maceachern and an empty-net goal from Potomak to finish the game 5-2 in favour of the home team.
Coquitlam's scoring struggles continued on Saturday when they travelled to Royal LePage Place to take on the West Kelowna Warriors.
The third-place Interior Division team opened the scoring on the power play with a goal from Liam Blackburn, before Andrew Johnson netted the second of the game for the home team.
West Kelowna's Jordan Masters made it 3-0 in the third, before Coquitlam forward Brett Supinski scored what would be the Express' only goal of the game.
The Warriors followed up with two goals from Jason Cotton, who was named third star of the game.
Coquitlam will get back at it this weekend at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex with a Friday game against Victoria and a Saturday matchup against Prince George. Puck drop for both matches is 7 p.m.
