If there was any consolation for the Coquitlam Redlegs, they pushed the eventual B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League playoff champs to the brink.
The Redlegs fell 1-0 in Sunday's semifinals to the Victoria Jr. Mariners, who went on to thump the Abbotsford Jr. Cardinals 7-2 in the final later than day at Surrey's Whalley Stadium.
