The Riverside Rapids had a third-place showing at the Fraser Valley Championships last weekend, defeating MEI secdonary 71-55 in the bronze medal match.
The AAA high school girls basketball team was undefeated in the early games of the tournament, besting Walnut Grove 85-40 in Game 1, before taking down Maple Ridge secondary 58-40 on Feb. 17.
However, on the weekend the Rapids suffered a tough loss to Abbotsford's W.J. Mouat secondary, falling to the valley that would eventually win silver 61-39.
But 24-hours later the Rapids bounced back, quickly establishing the lead against MEI and dominating the match for most of the game.
Langley's Brookswood secondary eventually won the tournament, defeating W.J. Mouat in the finals 75-69.
Charles Best secondary, another Tri-City team that competed in the tournament, finished in seventh place after defeating Elgin Park secondary on Saturday.
The Blue Devils also had an early win, downing Elgin Park on day one of the regions. However, the powerhouse W.J. Mouat spoiled the effort with a 69-44 win over Best the next day.
The Coquitlam team lost against on Saturday, when they fell 50-35 against Maple Ridge.
Gleneagle struggled during the tournament.
The Talons lost to Lord Tweedsmuir 76-59 in the first game, before winnings its second match, a 57-34 victory over Semiahmoo.
But a second 44-37 loss at the hands of Coquitlam rivals the Charles Best Blue Devils ended the tournament early for Gleneagle Thursday.
The 2015 B.C. AAA girls' high school basketball provincial championships will take place between March 4 and 7 at the Langley Events Centre.
