The dynasty continues.

Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs captured their fourth straight B.C. Junior 'A' lacrosse league championship via a 9-4 thrashing Thursday of the Delta Islanders at Poirier Sports Complex.

The victory ended the best-of-seven playoff series in five games, with the Jr. A's having won the last three straight.

The Jr. A's, who earned their first and only Minto Cup national championship as hosts of the four-team tournament in 2010, advance to this year's Minto running Aug. 18 to 26 in Whitby, Ont.

On Thursday, the Jr. A's jumped to a 4-0 first-period lead and soared to victory, out-shooting the visitors handily by a 54-32 margin.

"I thought that last one was our best game of the series," said Jr. A's head coach Neil Dinsdale. "We were pretty focused. I thought Delta played the best they have all year but we out-shot them every game."

Tyler Garrison zipped in three goals for the Jr. A's, who got two more from Ben McIntosh. Other Coquitlam marksmen were Wesley Berg, Vincent Ricci, Andy Taylor and Robert Church, who contributed four assists as well.
