Jr. Adanacs lick Islanders in B.C. Junior A lacrosse play

Four players pumped in three goals apiece to pace the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs to an emphatic 18-4 triumph Wednesday over the Delta Islanders in a B.C. Junior A lacrosse league game at Poirier Sports Complex.

Ben McIntosh, Wesley Berg, Matthew Dinsdale and Reid Reinholdt all tallied hat tricks for the Jr. A's, who jumped to 12-3-0 ahead of the second-place 10-5-1 Islanders in the eight-team loop.

Dinsdale and Reinholdt also had eight assists each for whopping 11-point outings. Newly acquired Corey Shires notched two tallies and two assists for Coquitlam, while Vincent Ricci bagged two goals and five helpers.

Robert Church and Tyler Garrison also scored for the Jr. A's, who got 27 saves from goalie David DiRuscio.

The Jr. A's led 7-1 and 12-3 at the intermissions and visit the 7-8-0 Victoria Jr. Shamrocks on Saturday.

On Thursday, the PoCo Saints dipped to 8-7-0 after falling 11-9 to the 10-4-0 New Westminster Jr. Salmonbellies at PoCo Rec Centre.

The Saints led 4-3 after the first period and the teams were knotted 7-7 after the second before New West out-scored PoCo 4-2 in the third.

Garrett Chan netted four goals for the Saints, while Tyler Pace added another three. Cody Craven and Andrew Bromley were PoCo's other marksmen.

The Saints host the 3-11-0 Burnaby Jr. Lakers tonight (Friday) at PoCo Rec Centre, 8 p.m.
