A pair of road victories has the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs cruising their way right back towards the top of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League standings.

A 10-8 win over the Langley Thunder last Thursday and an 11-2 drubbing of the Victoria Shamrocks Saturday at the Q Centre leapfrogged Coquitlam over the Port Coquitlam Saints into second place, just three points behind the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

In Victoria, the Adanacs stormed back from a 2-1 deficit midway through the first period by scoring the game’s next 10 goals with nary a reply from their hosts. Larson Sundown led Coquitlam’s attack with four goals while Chase Scanlan and Thomas Semple each had a pair of goals and two assists. Christian Del Bianco stopped 39 of the 41 Shamrocks’ shots he faced.

Meanwhile the PoCo Saints continued their hot start to the season with an 11-8 win over the Delta Islanders last Friday at the PoCo Rec Centre.

The Saints’ attack was led by Dylan Foulds whose nine points included seven assists.

The Adanacs host the Islanders on Wednesday, and then the Salmonbellies on Friday. Both games start at 7:30 p.m. at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex.

The Saints play the Thunder in Langley on Thursday.
