The B.C. Hockey League win left the Express in fourth spot in the eight-team Coastal Conference with a 32-18-2-2 record, just five points back of the third-place Cowichan Valley Capitals with two games in hand.

Alexander Kerfoot scored goals 26 ticks apart midway through the final frame to spur the Express on to the win.

Alex Petan scored twice earlier for Coquitlam, who got singles from Brady Shaw and Malcolm McKinney.

Cole Huggins stopped 33 shots in goal for the Express, who host the Langley Rivermen at 7 p.m. on Friday at Poirier.

LAMB THE MAN FOR PILOTS

Port Coquitlam product Riley Lamb helped stick it to the Port Moody Black Panthers on Monday.

Lamb collected two goals and two assists to spark the Abbotsford Pilots to a 6-2 romp in a Pacific International Jr. 'B' hockey league tilt at Port Moody Rec Complex.

Trevor Kang and Tyson Solotki tallied for the Cats, who slipped to 11-28-4-1 in third place in the five-team Harold Brittain Conference, a whopping 31 points behind third-place Abby.

The Cats host the Pilots again Saturday, 7:45 p.m.
