Parents who may have missed out on earlier KidSport Tri-Cities sports equipment sales will get another chance to outfit their young athletes.
The organization, which raises money to pay for fees for players and athletes who do not have the means to participate in sports, is holding a hockey only equipment sale.
In the past, KidSport has been able to outfit hockey players for about $100. The organization also takes donations for gently used equipment for all sports, from lacrosse to baseball.
The Massive KidSport Hockey Equipment Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at X-Treme Threads warehouse (1371A Kebet Way) in Port Coquitlam.
KidSport Tri-Cities holds several sales throughout the year but said that sometimes parents miss them during the summer months or only realize that their children's equipment doesn't fit anymore once the hockey season starts.
