Krgovich fires up Express in win

Coquitlam product Michael Krgovich whipped in three goals and added two assists to rally his hometown Express to a 6-3 victory Wednesday over the Nanaimo Clippers in a B.C. Hockey League game at the Sports Centre.

The win pulled the 16-19-1-9 Express out of the eight-team Coastal Conference Cellar ahead of the last-place Cowichan Valley Capitals and was Coquitlam's second straight after dropping their previous five.

The Express led 1-0 after the first period and, after Nanaimo tied it midway through the second, fired in three straight goals in the a seven-minute span to take a commanding 4-1 margin into the third.

Garrick Perry scored twice, with Jason Grecia netting the other Express marker.
