Local lacrosse girls game for Team BC

A bench-load of Tri-City athletes will represent B.C. on both its Midget and Bantam teams that are gearing up for the Canadian national girls lacrosse championships set to run next Thursday through July 28 at Queen's Park Arena in New Westminster.

The girls were chosen for the respective provincial squads following tryouts June 10-12 in Richmond.

Among the 20 Midget players to make Team BC were Port Coquitlam's Kyra Bradley, Danita Stroup, Reaghan Chadwick, Carlie Robinson and Katie Vanderkooy.

Those on the Team BC Bantams include Bianca Santucci, Harlowe Steele and Samantha Thomson of Coquitlam, PoCo's Nikita Berg and Billy McLaughlin and Port Moody's Taylor Booth and Leanna Hogarth.
