Northmen thump Jr. Adanacs in first game of Minto Cup final

Game 2 goes Saturday, with a third game, if needed, set for Sunday.

The Ontario champs heading into the four-team draw, the Northmen riddled Jr. A's all-star goalie Davide DiRuscio, who made only 19 saves before being replaced by back-up Riley Camazzola.

Surprisingly, shots on goal for the teams were dead even at 46 apiece.

Wesley Berg led all Jr. A's scorers with two goals and three assists. Ben McIntosh, Hugh Weir, Vincent Ricci and Cole Shafer were the only others to strike net for Coquitlam.

The Northmen's Mitchell Jones was the big scorer in the game, racking up six goals and seven assists.
