Former Coquitlam Reds' pitcher Nick Alexiou is going from a Pony to a Cowboy.
The six-foot-three righthander from Port Coquitlam has signed a letter of intent to join Louisiana's McNeese State Cowboys. Alexiou currently owns a 3-2 win-loss record with a 3.07 earned run average and 27 strikeouts in 41 innings with the Panola Junior College Ponies of Texas.
The Terry Fox secondary graduate's fastball is rated in the 89-91 mph range.
