Port Coquitlam's Kristina Collins poured in a team-high 18 points, including five three-pointers, to spark the Simon Fraser Clan to a 77-69 triumph Thursday over the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves in a university women's basketball game on Burnaby Mountain.
With just over 10 minutes to play, a steal by the junior-guard Collins - a Riverside secondary school grad - resulted in a lay-up by teammate Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe to give SFU its largest lead of the game at 13.
The win improved the Clan to 9-5 overall, including 4-2 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (NCAA Div. 2) play.
Last Saturday, Collins again drained 18 points but the Clan fell 64-57 to the St. Martin's Saints in Lacey, Wash.
Collins also led all players with six assists in the game and was a perfect four-for-four from the free throw stripe.
Next, the Clan host the University of Alaska Fairbanks in their West Gym, 7 p.m.
