Port Moody Black Panthers miss Brandon Millin, who rarely misses the net toiling now with the Notre Dame Hounds.

A PoMo native, Millin was named co-winner of the Saskatchewan Junior 'A' Hockey League's rookie of the year after whipping in 21 goals and adding 22 assists playing on the Hounds' top line.

A Heritage Woods secondary school grad, Millin played all his minor hockey in Port Moody and skated the previous two seasons with his hometown Black Panthers of the Pacific International Jr. 'B' league.

Last campagin, he tallied 34 points in 44 games, good for third in Cats' scoring.

On Wednesday, the Cats lost their seventh straight game via a 7-1 defeat to the host Abbotsford Pilots.

Julian Klaric scored the lone goal for the Cats, who fell to 11-28-4-1 to close out the regular season and open playoffs today (Friday) in Abby. Game 2 goes Saturday at PoMo Rec Complex, 7:45 p.m.
