Port Coquitlam's Pickell a rising star in cycling

Port Coquitlam cyclist Jackson Pickell was named top Top Junior Cyclist of the Year by Cycling BC and recognized as a rising star in the sport last week.

Port Coquitlam cyclist Jackson Pickell was named top Top Junior Cyclist of the Year by Cycling BC and recognized as a rising star in the sport last week.

The 17-year-old received the award in the junior/youth male cycling category for demonstrating significant strides in 2014 and a commitment to the discipline.

Pickell recently signed on with the Musette Cycling Team and was the youngest competitor in the Gastown Grand Prix. He is setting his sights on one day competing in the Tour de France.
