Thomas Staddon opened the scoring for the club after being setup by Pasha Nejad and Liam Cordick. Klim Jurny scored the game-winner in the first half.

REDCAPS

The Port Moody Redcaps opened the season with a 2-0 win over the CCB Selects in under-17 gold division boys soccer.

Arash Borairi and Brad Gregory each scored in the second half of the match, which took place at the Heritage Woods turf field last week.

Goaltender Alex Brown had the clean sheet, while defender Scott Gaudette was key to the Redcaps shutting out their opponents.

REBELS

The Coquitlam Metro-Ford Rebels defeated the Delta Coastal Selects 3-0 in under-13 select division soccer on Sunday.

The game was the first at home for the Rebels, who wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard.

After goalkeeper Milena Wilson stopped a penalty kick and the resulting rebound, teammates Sarah Hilford turned the ball around and scored on the quick Coquitlam counter.

Erin Ilett and Mchela Cervellin added insurance markers in the second half and Wilson posted her third clean sheet of the season.

The Rebels remain undefeated after three games with a 2-0-1 record. They will take on the Central City Breakers next week.
