The former player with Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, which is the equivalent of the Pacific Junior Hockey League, has a season record of 4-1-1 with his old club and a goals-against average of 2.74. His save percentage is .884 in the six games he has played this season.

The 17-year-old spent the 2013-14 season with the Valley West Hawks of the B.C. Major Midget League, compiling an 18-11-4 record and a 3.13 goals-against-average.

At 6'0" and 170 lbs, Cats management said the net minder moves well between the pipes and has worked closely with Joey Ali, a goalie coach for the BCHL's Coquitlam Express.

In another move last week, Port Moody released 1995-born goaltender Christian Plain.

"The Panthers would like to thank Christian for his contribution to the team," the club said in a press release.
