The Riverside Rapids senior girls soccer team won its first Fraser Valley North championship when it defeated Heritage Woods 3-0 on Monday.
The Rapids finished the regular season tied with the Centennial, who also won their finale, 4-0 over Gleneagle. But Riverside was awarded top of the table by virtue of an earlier 1-0 win over the Centaurs.
Dr. Charles Best secondary and the Terry Fox Ravens, who tied 2-2 in their final match, round out the four teams from the division that have qualified to the Fraser Valley championships that begin next week. The seedings for that tournament are being determined Friday.
