Coquitlam Reds didn't just surrender a pair of victories on the weekend. They coughed up a whole bunch of runs, to boot.

The Reds were blasted 12-1 Saturday and out-lasted 12-10 early Sunday before finally escaping with a 3-1 victory in the finale of a three-game B.C. Premier Baseball League series with the Okanagan Athletics at Mundy Park.

Junior call-up Mitchell Anderson pitched a gem in his PBL debut in the Reds' triumph, throwing a complete-game two-hitter with seven strikeouts.
