The Coquitlam Reds will have to wait another year to get their hands on a B.C. Premier League championship trophy.

The Tri-City squad made its way to to the final game of the playoffs at Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver, but in the end the team came up short, falling 6-0 to the fourth-seed Langley Blaze. Coquitlam did not get their playoff run off to a good start. The team surrendered eight runs to a third-seed Victoria squad in Game 1 on Friday.

However, the team recovered, managing a 2-0 victory against Nanaimo in Game 2 before avenging their previous loss in a rematch against Victoria where the club notched a 16-6 win.

But the team's offence dried up in the championship game, where they lost to Langley.
