Renegades hold on to defuse Dynamite comeback

The CMFSC Renegades managed to survive a late charge from the Port Coquitlam Dynamite in U12 girls soccer action on the weekend. The dominant Renegades defence kept the Dynamite off the scoreboard until the final minutes in a 2-1 win.

The dominant Renegades defence kept the Dynamite off the scoreboard until the final minutes in a 2-1 win. Christa Tascona opened the scoring in the first half for the Renegades with a run down the left side. Tascona converted a long cross from Olivia Gallina to open up a 2-0 lead.

The Renegades were coming off a 2-0 road win over the Mission Hearts the previous week.

Ava Mongrain and Sierra Santorelli supplied the scoring for the Renegades while Diana Emelianova posted her second straight shutout.
