The CMFSC Renegades mounted a second-half comeback to remain unbeaten in U12 girls soccer.
The Renegades held off the Royal City Rebels 3-1 Sunday at Roy Stibbs Field. Royal City jumped out to a 1-0 lead but Chanelle Prestia answered minutes later to pull the Renegades even at the half 1-1.
Ava Mongrain and Sierra Santorelli added second period markers for Coquitlam. Strong defending from Laura Marshall, Keely Lind-Petersen and Claudia Carbone helped goalkeeper Milena Wilson keep the Rebels off the scoresheet in the second half.
