Coquitlam's Kevin Reynolds has earned the right to represent Canada on the world's biggest stage.
Reynolds was one of 17 athletes nominated by Skate Canada for the Canadian figure skating team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Reynolds, 23, broke out internationally last season with a win at the Four Continents championship and a fifth-place showing at the world championships. He is the first and currently the only skater to have landed five quadruple jumps in one competition-at the 2013 Four Continents - and is also the only skater to have landed two quadruple jumps in a short program.
With 17 skaters, Canada has qualified the largest figure skating team of any country for Sochi 2014: three men, two ladies, three pairs and three ice dance. Canada was also the top qualifying country for the team event which will make its Olympic debut in Sochi.
Reynolds will join Patrick Chan and Liam Firus to represent Canada in men's singles. Kaetlyn Osmond andGabrielle Daleman will skate for Canada in ladies singles while Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch and Paige Lawrence and Rudi Swiegers will perform in pairs. The ice dance teams will be made up of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, and Alexandra Paul and Mitchell Islam.
The Sochi Games will take place from Feb. 7-23.
