Kevin Reynolds of Coquitlam has been chosen to represent Canada at the ISU world figure skating championships April 25 to May 1 in Moscow, Russia.
Reynolds, 20, was named to the team after Shawn Sawyer, 26, elected to to tour with Stars on Ice and skip the worlds.
"This gives Kevin an opportunity to improve on his 11th-place finish from last year's world championships," said Skate Canada's director of high performance Mike Slipchuk on the group's website.
