Coquitlam's Brendan Wong coupled his GPA of 3.35 in kinesiology with lightning speed results on the track to earn his slot on the all-academic team. He recorded a season-best time of 2:00.58 in the 800 m at the University of Puget Sound Shotwell Invitational and 4:07.52 in the 1,500 m at the UBC Open.

Meanwhile, fellow Coquitlam resident and SFU kinesiology student Erina Cho, a sophomore, posted a GPA of 3.28 while training for 1,500 m and 3,000 m competitions.
