The Coquitlam Express had no answer to Alex Murray Wednesday night.
The Prince George Spruce King netminder stoned the hometown Express to earn a 6-0 shutout victory.
The Express fell behind quickly on a pair of power play markers in the first six minutes. Prince George scored again late in the first and added three more in the third. Coquitlam outshot the Kings 34-20 with Pierce Dushenko making 14 saves in the loss.
The Express host the Kings again Friday (7 p.m.) at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Centre.
