The Adanacs need a win to nail down the fourth and final spot in theWestern Lacrosse Association. The Adanacs will close regular season Saturday night with a game against the Burnaby Lakers at the Poirier Sports Centre.

A pair of weekend wins gave new life to the Adanacs. The Adanacs rallied from a 9-5 deficit to brush back the Burrards 12-9 in Maple Ridge Sunday. Matthew Dinsdale and Brett Hickey each netted hat tricks, with Jeff Zywicki [one goal, five assists], Daryl Veltman [two goals, three assists], Ryan Johnson, Travis Cornwall and Brad Richardson rounding out the scoring. Adam Shute turned aside 33 shots.

Late powerplay goals from Veltman [four goals, two assists] and Zywicki helped the Adanacs edge the visiting Nanaimo Timbermen 9-8 Saturday. Hickey [two goals, five assists], Cornwall and Dinsdale also scored, while Jesse Guerin tallied six helpers. Shute made 28 saves in the win.
