The Port Moody Storm are provincial champions after the team defeated the Saanich Fusion FC in the cup finals at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex on Sunday.
The game was a hard-fought battle in the rain, but the Storm prevailed 1-0, with the lone goal coming off a penalty kick in the 55th minutes of the game.
Maddie Low scored the only goal, while Ella Sutton secured the shutout in net for her team.
Defenders Maya Lewis and Jenna Patterson were instrumental in keeping the Fusion forward out of the Storm's end, particularly during the opposition's push to tie in the final minutes of the game.
The provincial title caps off an undefeated season for the Storm, which went 16-0-2 and only allowed three goals against all year.
