Six Tri-City basketball players will be joining the Fraser Valley Zone Three squad when the team competes at this weekend's BC Summer Games in Nanaimo.
Grayson Parkins, Andrew Lee, Mike Wilkinson, Quentin Onyemordi, Andrew Brzovic and Arsham Mahmoudi are locals who will represent Coquitlam at the provincial event.
The athletes are familiar with each other's play on the court as they competed with the TCYBA Raptors under-14 rep team this past season, posting a 27-8 record and winning the SWISH League tournament in Mt. Vernon, Wash.
As well, Lee, Wilkinson, Onyemordi and Simon Wei were all selected to this summer's B.C. under-14 provincial basketball team.
The B.C. Summer Games are expected to take place between July 17 and 20 in Nanaimo. FOr more information go to www.bcgames.org.
