Tri-City lacrosse was well represented when Team B.C. won the Alumni Cup in a tournament in Oshawa, Ont., last week.

Six under-16 field lacrosse players from Port Coquitlam, including tournament MVP Chase Malcolm, and another four from Coquitlam made the team, which dominated the event.

The team went undefeated in the fives games it played, knocking the Iroquois squad 17-3 and Nova Scotia 27-0 in early round-robin play.

B.C. went on to defeat Manitoba 21-3 and Alberta 17-2 before defeating Ontario in the finals 14-8. Goalie Andrew Gallant of Coquitlam had a standout performance while runners Josh Kemp, Mac Dailly, Dyland Chand, Sam Degroot, Jake Bye, Brodie Gillespie, Mitch Milani and Gordie Phillips all contributed to the victory.

The squad is expected to play a recruitment tournament in Baltimore in November.
