Lena Liljedahl races down the slopes during the Zone Finals at Mount Washington last weekend. The Port Moody skier finished ninth in the under-16 slalom race.

Port Moody skier Katrina Voss won a pair of gold medals in both the dual slalom and the single pole slalom race during the Zone Finals at Mount Washington last week.

Despite a crash during the dual slalom, Voss was able to get back up and finish the race on one ski, taking first place in the process.

She was not the only member of the Hemlock Ski team to crack the top ten during last weekend’s series of races.

Lena Liljedahl, also of Port Moody, finished the under-16 slalom race in ninth place, while Delta skier Nate Rowher took fourth in the under-12 slalom race.

Meanwhile, Patricia Safar, also of Delta, finished in sixth and eighth place in both of the under-12 slalom races she competed in on Mount Washington.

The race marks the final event of the ski season.
