The Coquitlam Adanacs under-14 club took home the gold medal at this year's Tier 1 B.C. Field Lacrosse Championships last week after knocking off Ridge Meadows 8-1 in the finals.
The tournament, which took place in Victoria, saw the A's go 3-0 in round-robin play, followed by a 9-2 victory over the New Westminster Salmonbellies in the semifinals.
"We wanted to keep things simple and focus on the little things like owning loose balls, moving the ball and moving our feet," said head coach Lance Hofseth. "We did just that while introducing simply plays throughout the year."
He added the athletes deserve all the credit for what was accomplished this year and said he was proud of his team's consistency throughout the season.
Captains Dennon Armstrong, Matthew McIlwrick and Bobby Kidd were solid for the A's during the tournament while goalie Devin Vowles earned the MVP in the finals.
