Port Moody Panthers Peewee A1 hockey team dug its claws into the competition at a non-hitting President's Day tournament Feb. 17-20 in Las Vegas.

Liam Marshall scooped the shutout as the Panthers pasted California's Bakersfield Dragons 5-0 in the championship game, which left PoMo with having out-scored their opponents by a staggering 47-6 aggregate at the event.

"When you take the hitting out of the game, our players continued to pass and passing was the key to winning," said Panthers head coach Kurt Dalphond.

Panther goals in the final came via Jacob Simms and captain Mitchell Booth, with two apiece, along with Caley Amundsen.
