Coquitlam Ducks battled their way to the bronze medal at the Tier 1 B.C. provincial Under-13 club volleyball championships April 21-22 at Harry Jerome Sports Centre.
The Ducks went undefeated in pool play with a 3-0 record. In the quarter-finals, they the Ducks edged Rain City of Langley 25-23 and 25-19, then beat Gecko's from Vancouver in a three-set semifinal battle.
In the battle for bronze, the Ducks defeated Airborne of Langley 2-0.
Hannah Menard from the Ducks Bryan team and Kalena Chang from the Ducks Melissa unit were awarded most inspirational player awards at the tournament.
