A Coquitlam runner has punched her ticket to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and set a new Canadian record in the process.
Natasha Wodak had set a goal to run the 10,000 in under 32 minutes at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Pala Alto, Calif., earlier this month.
When she accomplished the feat in 31:41.59, she beat a 2003 record set by Courtney Babcock.
Now, Wodak is preparing for the Pan American Games this summer and will be preparing for Olympics in Brazil next year.
