The result was a 5-2 win on the road against the Sherbrooke Phoenix on Tuesday night to trim their deficit to 2-1 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League series.

Alexandre Doucet, Markus Vidicek, Zachary L'Heureux, Evan Boucher and Josh Lawrence scored for the Mooseheads, who lost the first two games of the best-of-seven series 5-2 and 3-2 in overtime.

Cole Huckins and Ethan Gauthier scored for the Phoenix, who outshot the visitors 38-26.

Game 4 is Thursday.

GATINEAU, Que. — James Malatesta's second goal of the game, scored at 5:59 of overtime, gave the visiting Quebec Remparts a 5-4 victory over the Gatineau Olympiques and a commanding 3-0 lead in their semifinal series.

Quebec won the first two games at home, 5-2 and 4-3 in overtime.

Nathan Gaucher, Kassim Gaudet and Zachary Bolduc also scored for the Remparts.

Marcel Marcel, Alexis Gendron, Olivier Boutin and Antonin Verreault scored for the Olympiques, who were outshot 42-40.

Game 4 is Wednesday.
