The winners of the 2018 Business Excellence Awards, who were named last Saturday at a gala held at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver in Coquitlam, are:

Golbey Law: Business of the Year (1 to 10 employees);


• The Giggle Dam Dinner Theatre: Business of the Year (11 to 30 employees);


• Community Fire Prevention: Business of the Year (30+ employees);


• Sandy Burpee of the Tri-Cities Homelessness and Housing Task Group: Community Spirit Award;


• Paul MacDonald of Ethical Waste Services: Environmental Steward Award;

• Share Family and Community Services Society: Not-for-Profit of the Year;


• Josh Bath of Keller Williams Elite Realty: Business Leader of the Year;

• Byron Vallis of Mariner Brewing: Young Professional of the Year;

• and Desiree Dupuis of Ruben’s Shoes: Chamber Member of the Year

“We are extremely proud of the wealth of outstanding businesses here in the Tri-Cities,” said Michael Hind, CEO of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, in a press release. “All of the 2018 finalists have demonstrated business excellence and a commitment to bettering our community. They should be extremely proud of their nominations. They’re all winners.”
