The giant spray park at Port Coquitlam’s Castle Park opened last weekend.

And the city will throw an party next Wednesday to welcome the public to its third — and largest — spray zone for kids.

Aug. 14, the municipality will host a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 4,000 sq. ft. water playground, located at 2252 Castle Cres. in the Citadel Heights neighbourhood.

The pad has low-flow features and sprayers, times and on/off buttons to regulate water flow. Benches were added to the area and, this fall, more plants.

The other two spray parks in PoCo are at Sun Valley Park, on the city’s northside, and in downtown Lions Park.
