The Coquitlam RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Charlene Dawn Sim who went missing from her Port Coquitlam home last week.
The 33-year-old is wanted on a Mental Health Act warrant and police said that her friends and family are concerned for her safety and want make sure she is in good health.
“Sim is not believed to be a threat to others,” Coquitlam Mounties said in a press release, “but it is possible she is taking steps to avoid apprehension.”
Sim is described as a Caucasian woman, 5’6” with a medium build, blue eyes and a skin rash on her cheek and a birthmark on her right calf. She was last seen wearing brown hiking boots, black leggings, a wine-coloured skirt and a white baseball cap. Sim is known to wear pink dresses and headscarves.
Anyone who has seen Sim or has information that could lead police to her location should call the Coquitlam RCMP’s Missing Person’s Unit at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2019-13904.
